MINEFIELD - Decomposition Reinventing Minefield
Self Released

Twelve tracks of fabulous remixes from Minefield’s After The Ball CD feature artists: Karl Mohr, Synthetic Dream Foundation, Dead Poets Society, Soviet Radio, Spectre VII, Blue Mars, Soy Futura, Ingrown, and Cryptomnesia. ‘After The Ball’ quickly became one of the staple CDs in my music collection, and now I am able to hear each track from a ‘different point of view’. Tamara’s vocals are as dynamic as ever, and remain the perfect vehicle to carry off each remix to perfection. The ‘Cannabis Remix’ of Control (presented by Blue Mars) gives breathy elegance to this subtlely dominant head-trip; while Soviet Radio contributes a dancier beat to the same song. My favorite selection from ‘After The Ball’ remains the title track; and yet another layer of mystique surrounding this already dark and sexy track is now brought forth by both Dead Poets Society and Spectre VII. One of my favorite tracks on ‘Decomposition’ is ‘I Believe - Karl Mohr - Sundial Remix’. Smooth as velvet, ambient excellence drips into a deep chasm of electronic noise.
